Children and youth education ministries
Sunday Lessons for Grades 3-6
Children in grades 3 through 6 are invited to participate in a "Worship and Wonder" lesson each Sunday during worship after the children’s message. There is a rotating schedule of teachers for this age group, which will meet in the education wing. The Worship and Wonder class takes a break during the summer, and children are invited to worship with their families.
Grades 7-12 Youth Programs
Miss Noel plans youth events throughout the year, taking into account the kids' interests and schedules. Our youth are actively involved in the church in many other ways too-- singing in the choir, offering special music, serving as liturgists and readers. We will be exploring attending the Presbyterian Youth Triennium next year.
Children’s Worship Center
The Children’s Worship Center is open every Sunday during the worship hour following the Time with Children on the chancel steps. The Worship Center is for children ages 3 through 2nd/3rd grade. It is a place to worship and hear God’s stories.
Nursery Care
Andrea Creighton and Rhiannon Nauseef provide nursery care from 9 AM ‐ 12 PM on Sundays for infants and toddlers. They incorporate music, Bible stories, and crafts, as well as playtime and quiet time, to foster faith formation in our youngest members. Nursery care is in the toddler room on the first floor of the Education Building.

Child and Youth Protection Policy
Westminster Presbyterian Church seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for the children who participate in our programs and activities. By following the best practices in the church's Child and Youth Protection Policy, our goal is to protect the children of Westminster Presbyterian Church from incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior while also protecting our staff and volunteers/workers from false accusations.
Westminster has had a Child Protection Policy since 2005, but the practices and procedures were reviewed and revised, and a new Policy was adopted by session in December 2016.
