Sunday Lessons for Grades 3-6
Children in grades 3 through 6 are invited to participate in a "Worship and Wonder" lesson each Sunday during worship after the children’s message. This fall, they will learn Old Testament stories from a PCUSA curriculum called “Echo: the Story.” This resource invites children to hear the Biblical stories, reflect upon them, engage and ask questions, and relate the stories to their own lives. There will be a rotating schedule of teachers for this age group, which will meet in the education wing.
New Grades 7-12 Youth Programs
Following worship Sunday, youth in grades 7‐12 are invited to meet with Chris Patch, Noel Cregg, Pastor Stacy, and other adult volunteers in the youth wing of the education building for Youth Forums, a time to discuss what they heard in worship and how it relates to their lives. The kids will also be involved in hands‐on activities like helping decorate the chancel for special services, doing art activities, and enjoying games.
We are also excited to introduce a new youth group for kids in grades 7‐12 called "Meet and Eat." The group will meet on the third Sunday of every month from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in the youth wing of the education building. Gatherings promise to be a blend of spiritual nourishment, fellowship, and community service. Come prepared to learn, have fun, and bring a friend along! For more information or to volunteer, please reach out to Chris Patch.
Children’s Worship Center
The Children’s Worship Center is open every Sunday during the worship hour following the Time with Children on the chancel steps. The Worship Center is for children ages 3 through 2nd/3rd grade. It is a place to worship and hear God’s stories. In the fall, we’ll be hearing stories from the Old Testament—Adam and Eve, Abram and Sarai, the birth of Isaac, Moses and the Burning Bush, and the Ten Best Ways to Live.
Nursery Care
Andrea Creighton and Liz Dominguez provide nursery care from 9 AM ‐ 12 PM on Sundays for infants and toddlers. They incorporate music, Bible stories, and crafts, as well as playtime and quiet time, to foster faith formation in our youngest members. Nursery care is in the toddler room on the first floor of the Education Building.
