Music Ministries
Westminster Choir: Karen Bartlett-Morse is the Director of the Westminster Choir, a "small but mighty" group of talented and devoted singers who enrich the weekly worship services with an introit, anthem, and special music. The choir rehearses every Wednesday night during the school year at 7:30pm in the Choir Room, and before worship each Sunday at 9:00am. During the summer, vocalists, instrumentalists, and small ensembles provide special music in worship.
Lori Rhodes Pettit has been the organist at Westminster since 2001. She accompanies the congregation on hymns, accompanies the choir, and offers special music on the vintage EM Skinner pipe organ in the loft in the rear of the sanctuary.
Bell Choir
Sara Davenport directs the Adult Bell Choir Mondays from 5:45-6:45pm in the Choir Room. This new bell choir, starting in September 2006, is open to new and experienced ringers, and will ring in worship on a regular basis. For information, call 315-253-3331.
Children's Choir
Children in pre-K through grade 5 rehearse with Audrey McNally and Sara Davenport during the first 15 minutes of the Education Hour or during "Kids Night Out." The kids sing (with guitar accompaniment by Bob Davenport) and also ring color-coded handbells and more challenging handchimes. They periodically share their music in worship.
