Wednesday Noon Bible Study
Pastor Phil Windsor leads Bible Study from 12 noon to 1pm in the Conference Room every Wednesday. Bring a bag lunch. Childcare is available with advance notice to the church office (315-253-3331). Wednesday Noon Bible Study does not meet in the summer.
Faith and Film Night
"Faith and Film Nights" are opportunities to share a movie (new or old, comedy or drama, documentary or fiction) and discuss it afterwards. Recent selections have been The DaVinci Code, Shadowlands, Good Night and Good Luck, The Laramie Project, The Chorus (Les Choristes), The Gods Must Be Crazy, An Inconvenient Truth, Hotel Rwanda, Groundhog Day, and Les Miserables. and The Widow of St. Pierre, Amistad, The Power of One, God Grew Tired of Us, and The Kite Runner.
Faith and Film Nights are scheduled occasionally throughout the year.
Free concession stand treats include popcorn, soda, and candy.
Book Discussion Group
The Westminster Book Discussion Group meets monthly, generally on the last Monday of the month at 7pm. Since the book group started in 2005, it has explored the following books: The Kiterunner, The Chosen, The Name of the Rose, Frankenstein, and Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting by in America, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Mermaid Chair, Night, Of Human Bondage, The Laramie Project, The World is Flat, Year of Wonders, God's Politics, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, Gilead, Blood of the Lamb, Cold Sassy Tree, Under the Banner of Heaven, Gift From the Sea, Enrique's Journey, God GrewTired of Us, The Poisonwood Bible, the Tipping Point, A Thousand Splendid Suns, A Year of Living Biblically, and Three Cups of Tea.
