Presbyterian 101 Boards and Committees A tour of the Church and Education Building Building Use Policy and Request Form

Westminster Presbyterian Church is in the center of downtown Auburn, NY, a small city (population approximately 28,000) in the Finger Lakes Region of Central New York. The city of Auburn is located at the northern end of Owasco Lake.
-Directions:
To get to downtown Auburn (and Westminster Presbyterian Church):

From the east: (from Syracuse) Follow Route 5 into Auburn, where it becomes "the arterial." Take a left onto North Street (Route 34) at the Holiday Inn. Take a right onto Genesee St, then a left onto William Street. The church will be on your right. OR (from Skaneateles) Follow Route 20 into Auburn, where it becomes Genesee St. Stay straight on Genesee St (do not continue to follow Route 20 when it veers off), into downtown. Turn left onto William St. The church will be on your right.

From the west: Take the NYS Thruway to the Weedsport Exit (Exit 40). Take a right turn at the exit ramp, and follow the signs for Route 34/Auburn through the village of Weedsport. Follow Route 34 into Auburn (the name will become North Street). Take a right turn onto Genesee St, then a left onto William St. The church will be on your right.

From the north: Follow Route 34 into Auburn (the name will become North Street). Take a right turn onto Genesee St, then a left onto William St. The church will be on your right.

From the south: Follow Route 34 into Auburn (the name will become South St in the city). Take a left turn onto William Street. The church will be on your left (Next to the YMCA)

Parking: There is a church owned parking lot behind the education building (go through the archway between the two buildings). There is also a municipal lot and a parking garage across the street from the church. Parking in these lots is free nights and weekends.

Now that you're here, come inside!

Here's a map to help you find us too:

There are many more things to see in Auburn, most within walking distance of Westminster:
-the home of William H. Seward, Secretary of State to Abraham Lincoln, directly across the street from Westminster. In fact, Westminster Church was built on land purchased from the Seward family.
-the home of Harriet Tubman, the "Moses of her People" on the Underground Railroad.
-the Willard Chapel, the only known completely intact interior designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany, on the grounds of the former Auburn Theological Seminary.
-the birthplace of "talking movies"-- home of Theodore Willard Case, the inventor of the first commercially successful system of sound film.
-the home of Auburn Correctional Facility, a maximum security prison which laid the groundword for prison reform in the 1800's.
