Childrens Ministries
Sunday School
The Sunday morning Education Hour, following worship every Sunday during the school year at 10:45am, offers classes for children and youth.
Teachers are Heather Marzano, preK- Kindergarten; Audrey McNally, grades 1-3; Bronwyn O'Connor, grades 4-6; and Linda Russell, grades 7-9.
Children's Choir
Children in pre-K through grade 5 rehearse with vocal numbers and childrens' handbells and handchimes during the first 15 minutes of Sunday School in the Junior Room. Sara Davenport will direct the children's choir, with accompaniment by Bob Davenport on guitar. They periodically share their music in worship.
Kids Night Out
"Kids Night Out" is a monthly gathering from 5:30-7:30pm on the second Wednesday for kids in kindergarten through grade 8 for church-based fellowship which includes a kid-friendly meal, games, crafts, music, and a Bible story. The theme for the 2007-2008 year is "Living in God's Creation," examining how to be caretakers of creation and learning how to live in harmony with creation and the Creator.
Children's Mission Projects
Kids are encouraged to participate in mission and service. During Lent, they fill their "fish banks" for the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering. The kids also help collect and assemble Church World Service kits, collect the Souper Bowl Offering on Super Bowl Sunday, and trick or treat for Unicef at Halloween. Youth have participated in the Auburn CROP Walk. Many kids are buying "alternative gifts" for Mother's Day and Father's Day by purchasing blankets and tools for people in need around the world.
Westminster youth and adults participated in a "service learning" opportunity at Heifer International's Overlook Farms in August, 2007. Click here for photos.
Click here for Church World Service's fun interactive site for kids to learn more about world mission.

The kids entertained the residents of Westminster Manor on May 15, 2008.
