The Adams Foundation Piano Series

Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Cayuga County Arts Council are the co-sponsors of the Adams Foundation Piano Series in Auburn, NY.

The Adams Foundation, founded by Stephen Adams of Santa Barbara, California, brings international caliber pianists to perform in intimate chamber settings in America's small towns.

Stephen Adams was a Yale classmate of duo-pianists and Auburn, NY natives Richard and John Contiguglia, and together, they provide the financial backing, the artistic expertise, and the energy  and  enthusiasm to make the Adams Foundation Piano Series grow each year.

Now in its seventh year, the Adams Foundation has sponsored such artists as Richard and John Contiguglia, the late Ruth Laredo, Ian Hobson, Robert DeGaetano, Steven Mayer, and Jon Nakamatsu, Anne Schein, James Tocco, Jeanne Stark Iochmann and Ursula Oppens.

The Adams Series is now in 22 communities, and continues to grow.

Auburn, NY is proud to be one of the original sites of the Adams Foundation Series, largely due to the efforts of its native sons, the Contiguglia brothers.

The Cayuga County Arts Council and Westminster Presbyterian Church are the local Auburn sponsors of the Adams Foundation Piano Series.

"What a terrific experience I had playing in Westminster Church for the Adams Foundation Piano Series. Its not every day that I play in a great acoustical space, on a terrific piano for such a friendly and enthusiastic audience. I hope Auburn realizes what a treasure it has."              Jon Nakamatsu
